Love the bag. Not sure when I bought it but have used on numerous trips this past year from Florida to my place in Colombia. I have travelled, lived and backpacked around the world a lot since 1975. Used many many travel bags. (I've always had a thing for my travel luggage, cosey feeling when someplace new and strange.)

Love the features that the ad sold me on. Very simple, few pockets, all good size, easy open, lightweight, goes on the plane with ease, lots of handles, great price, (even at what I paid) convertible to backpack or not, lots of packing space, non-descript (nice for not drawing any more attention to the 6'4" gringo.) In Colombia I empty out and use as a day pack. Easy open at customs indicates that I have nothing to hide. So far no quality issues. Would buy again.

Wow, I love this bag so much. I always travel with only a backpack and never check luggage. I've owned a number of other backpacks that are contenders in this category. The Gravel Domestic Duffel is my favorite for a simple reason: 1.1 lbs is insanely light and other bags start at 3.5 lbs and go up to over 5 lbs !! As a petite woman those extra pounds on my back really matter. Also, extra pounds in carry on luggage matter a lot for international travel where they verify these things. The no frills minimal compartments contributes to how light it is. I find the pockets just enough, because usually I have another purse/personal item for the under-seat items. My one real wish is that it would be nice if I could attach removable waist strap for those extra heavy loads. The backpack strap anchor points are a little slanted so it's not ideal for a waist strap. I've taken it on a number of trips and comfortably fit a week's worth of business clothes. I hope it's durable !
